Lance's Inservice Library
  Lance's library is organized into three major employee groups; management, nursing, and care giving. The "management series" is designed for facility management, corporate staff, owners, and governing boards. The "nursing series" is primarily designed for nursing directors and nurses, but may include nursing clerical staff, registered dieticians, professional dietary managers, social workers, recreation directors, and therapists. The "care giving series" is primarily designed for nurses aides, but may include housekeepers, maintenance assistants, dietary assistants, laundry assistants, activity assistants, volunteers, and individuals who come in contact with residents. Library offerings are derived from two criteria. First, subjects affecting a particular group of nursing home employees. Secondly, subject matter Lance routinely presents.

  Many subjects have overlapping appeal between employee groups. Since each inservice or seminar is customized, there are no prepackaged boundaries to limit the creativity of clients.
